Top Wedding Photography FAQ

Here are some of the common questions I get from my couples. If there's anything you have a question about and you don't see it here, feel free to ask me.

Getting to Know You

How would you describe your photography style?

It’s hard to define in just one word, but my approach leans heavily towards documentary and candid. I focus on real moments — emotion is everything to me. Laughter, tears, hugs, kisses — those raw, honest expressions are what I aim to capture. That said, I always adapt to the needs and preferences of each couple. I also make sure to include all the key shots: group photos, details, and venue decor. I like to call my work “Natural Wedding Photography.”

We’re a bit camera-shy and not great at having our photo taken — can you help?

You’re not alone — honestly, around 95% of the couples I work with say the same thing! And they’re always amazed at how relaxed, happy, and natural they look in their photos. My approach is super laid-back and unobtrusive. I keep direction simple and natural, never asking you to do anything that feels awkward or uncomfortable. Most of the images you see on my website were taken when people didn’t even realise the camera was on them — that’s how I capture those genuine smiles, quiet moments, and bursts of laughter. You just focus on enjoying your day, and I’ll take care of the rest.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes! Engagement shoots are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and create some beautiful memories before the big day.

Do you work from a shot list?

When I first began shooting weddings, I used to ask couples for a list of specific photos they wanted. But I quickly realised that sticking to a checklist made it harder to focus on the authentic, candid moments — the ones my couples truly cherish. You can rest easy knowing I’ll capture all the key details, while documenting your day in a relaxed, natural style that tells the full story as it unfolds.

Do you need a list of specific photos?

Just a list of family/group shots is perfect — it helps everything run smoothly. Other than that, I’ll take care of the rest naturally.

Can we see a full wedding gallery?

Of course — I’d be happy to share full galleries so you can get a clear idea of what to expect.

Can we read reviews of your work?

Absolutely — you’ll find reviews on Google.

Booking & Packages

What packages do you offer?

I offer three main packages that couples tend to go for. You can find them here. If you have something different in mind, I’m happy to chat and customise.

Do you charge by the hour?

No, I don’t work by the hour. When you book me, I block off the entire day for your wedding — no clock-watching or rushing. I arrive early and stay until I’ve captured everything I need for a complete story.

Do you offer videography as well?

I don’t offer video myself, but I work closely with some amazing videographers who I’m happy to recommend. We collaborate really well on the day!

How do i book you?

Like most photographers I get booked up very far in advanced, so please get in touch as soon as possible via my contact page to check my availability.
If I’m available, we’ll arrange a time to chat properly before you make a decision about whether to proceed with a booking.

Is there a booking fee?

The booking fee for any wedding package is 30% which is required to reserve your date.
Full payment is required 1 month before the wedding.

Will we get a contract?

Yes — every couple receives a clear, binding contract with all the important details laid out. It’s essential for everyone’s peace of mind.

We want you to photograph our wedding – what should we do?

Yay! The first step is to email me! You can do this directly or send me a contact form here. We can have a chat about your wedding and go from there!

On the Day

Do you work solo?

Yes — Muggianu Photography is a one-person show. I handle everything from the first message to the final edit. However, if a second photographer is needed, I have a trusted group of professionals I can call on.

Do you bring backup equipment?

Yes. I always shoot with two cameras and multiple lenses. I carry spare memory cards, batteries, and lighting, so I’m covered for every situation.

Do we need to provide a meal for you?

If I’m covering your full day, I’d really appreciate a meal — it’s a long day on my feet. If a meal isn’t included, I’ll step out briefly during dinner to eat nearby. Just note I won’t be available during that time in case something unexpected happens.

What if you haven’t photographed at our venue before?

That’s no problem at all. I’ve worked in every kind of location — barns, churches, hotels, and more. I always research unfamiliar venues in advance to ensure I’m fully prepared.

Travel & Location

Where are you based and how far will you travel?

I’m based in Milton Keynes city of Buckinghamshire. Most of my work is across South East England but I can travel all over the UK and Europe.

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Yes, I do — and I absolutely love them! Whether it’s a sunny beach in Italy, a countryside villa in France, or a mountain retreat in Austria, I’m always excited to travel and capture love stories in beautiful new places. I’ll work closely with you to make the logistics simple and ensure your experience is as smooth and relaxed as possible. Wherever your celebration takes you, I’ll be there to document every moment.

Do you charge for travel?

Most travel is included. If your wedding requires a flight or overnight stay, travel and accommodation costs would be added — we’d discuss this upfront.

Deliverables & Timeline

How many photos we will receive?

Typically an 8 hour wedding will receive around 400-600 photos. A one hour engagement/couple photoshoot usually receives around 30-40 images.

Are the photos edited?

Yes — every image you receive is professionally edited to reflect my style and your day perfectly.

How long does it take to get our photos?

For weddings around 4 - 8 weeks. For engagements it's usually around 2 weeks. All of your images will be delivered online in a private gallery and you'll be downloading the full resolution images!

Can we make copies of our photos?

Yes, you’re free to share, print, and post your photos for personal use. The only restriction is commercial use — if any suppliers want to use them for marketing, they’ll need to get in touch first.

Trust & Backup

Are you insured?

I am 100% insured. I have public liability insurance. If your venue requires a proof of insurance, just let me know and I can provide a certificate.

Do you have a backup plan in case of illness or emergency?

Yes, absolutely. While I’ve never missed a wedding, I believe in being fully prepared for the unexpected. I’m part of a close-knit network of trusted photographers — we stay in touch through a dedicated group, ready to step in for one another if needed. If something unforeseen were to happen, rest assured that you would never be left without a photographer. I’d make sure your day is still beautifully documented by someone I trust completely.

What happens if you’re ill or can’t attend our wedding?

Thankfully, I’ve never missed a wedding. I take great care of my health, especially in the lead-up to your day. However, in the rare event that something unexpected happens, I have a network of talented, like-minded photographers I trust to step in if needed.
